NUDGE joins forces with other projects, discover them!

We are glad to start a partnership with key projects working, like NUDGE partners, on energy efficiency behaviour, smart home management and solutions and prosumers.

Let’s introduce them briefly here.

Interconnect

InterConnect gathers 50 European entities to develop and demonstrate advanced solutions for connecting and converging digital homes and buildings with the electricity sector. The project places the foundation for the future of smart energy management solutions by seven connected large-scale test-sites in Portugal, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Greece and France.

UtilitEE

The UtilitEE project is developing an innovative and realistic solution for delivering an Energy Efficiency Framework that enables new Energy-as-a-Service solution offerings. It combines user-sensitivity and ICT ecosystem to facilitate more energy aware user behaviour. The solution incorporates off-the-shelf sensors to notification messages and intelligent automation features that use occupant comfort profiles and behaviour to control building loads.

eTEACHER

Changes in users’ behaviour have significant potential to reduce energy consumption in buildings. These changes include those ones motivated by innovative technological interventions. However, in this case it is important that users are not only informed but also sufficiently consulted, trained and supported regarding the technological changes to avoid poor performance in practice. The design of this project, incorporating social studies, consultation and testing of innovations, responds to this challenge to enable efficient and effective deployment of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to encourage behavioural change.

SocialRES

SocialRES aims at closing non-technological research gaps that impede the widespread uptake of social innovation business and service models in the European energy sector. Through our research, we will set the basis for a better understanding of the socio-economic, socio-cultural, socio-political and gender factors that influence the behaviour of consumers in the energy system. What’s more, we will foster the development of new cooperation patterns among the key enabling actors for energy democracy: cooperatives, energy aggregators and crowdfunding platforms.
